My name is Liew Yik Teng, can call me YT. I was born in Malacca and grew up in a rural environment surrounded by oil palm trees and forests. Without early access to the internet, I spent my childhood exploring and noticing forms of beauty that others might overlook.

My work explores impermanence through everyday architectural spaces, focusing on overlooked corners, abandoned places, and ruins. I am drawn to the feelings these spaces evoke, even when they are hard to describe.

Inspired by miniature models, I prefer creating mixed-media works directly with materials, enjoying hands-on experimentation with textures and surfaces. I hope viewers can feel something when looking at my work,a small emotion, a fleeting thought, or a quiet encounter
