Work description
This piece originated from the moment I stood outside that house and looked up at the beam above the door. It wasn't a particularly remarkable place, but when I paused to take a closer look, it made me realize that we seldom pay attention to such structures in our daily lives.
These beams exist merely to support the house, without any decoration or emotion. Over time, they have aged, tilted, and been eroded, yet they remain in their original positions. I chose to focus the composition on this part to draw the viewer's attention to these overlooked details.
I viewed these beams from a low angle to create a sense of pressure in the image, but this pressure is not negative; it stems from the weight of the structure itself and the accumulation of time. This work is not telling a story but rather documenting a real moment that is rarely observed with care.
